Despite the lost days due to bad weather things are moving along here. Our contractors are hard at work. First they are focusing on the kitchen. The cabinets are in and hung or anchored for the island. All of the appliances (fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave) are installed and almost ready for use. We have lights above the island and above the pantry unit to the right of the fireplace.
Yesterday work was completed on framing the half bath/laundry – in the area off of the kitchen. Power and water lines are ready. Today drywall guys finished the walls. The frame is in for the pocket door also. Hopefully next week the contractors will be able to install the washer/dryer and plumbing in the half bath.
Once that work is complete it will be time for the bathroom upstairs (I’m adding a bathtub & shower), a new ceiling fan in Luke’s room and, last but not least, work on the Carriage House.
As soon as the weather clears a little we are having the gutters, fascia and soffit replaced. I am hoping that soon we’ll be out of things to replace/update/repair!!
