It seems as if things have been a bit slow here but it certainly hasn’t been from a lack of trying! Projects have a way of taking longer than I originally think they will!!

First, the upstairs bathroom is just about finished. We removed the white wall cabinets and replaced them with open shelves. The wainscot was painted black (actually Limousine Leather by Sherwin Williams) and we hung wallpaper with a more vintage vibe. But the true star here is the floor. The linoleum sheet flooring was removed and white penny tile was put down to cover the entire floor. Then, before grouting, I replaced some of the white penny tiles with black penny tiles to spell out the name of our house…..CENTERVIEW. I’m currently adding the year it was built (1871) in another corner of the room! And I thought we still needed some closed cabinet storage so I made a small cabinet using two 12″ kitchen wall cabinets and some legs. Luke picked the red paint (Red My Mind by Behr) to complete the room. We do love it!!

We had a nice, young man come by that is starting his own masonry/concrete business. He did a GREAT job on our wall in front of our house!!

Next stay tuned for updates on the back porch. I’m on my 3rd attempt to replace the floor and ceiling (first 2 ideas didn’t work). But I think I’m on to something now!!
