I have been working downstairs pretty much a little every day but it doesn’t look like I have a lot to show for it! I am continuing to work on Luke’s room. He picked out flooring at Lowe’s and we bought enough to do his whole room and closet. First I have to finish all the painting and trim. So far I’ve painted the ceiling black (of course) and framed in the 2 sets of pipes (finally). I also finished building a small closet to hide the electric panel. Now I am trying to build a small bookcase to hide the fireplace. Additionally I am stripping the paint off the old bathroom door. I want to take it back to it’s natural wood finish and use it for Luke’s room.
As a small side project I did use some of the strips of 1/4″ plywood to do a board and batten pattern on the wall outside the bathroom. I am going to put some hooks up on the horizontal piece. We can hang our winter coats or rain gear here before going upstairs.
